Joze Marcelino
J. Marcelino Kongo believes that the arts can contribute to social transformation and progress, influencing the prevailing discourses in society and that music in particular touches the human spiritual dimension, leading us to experience feelings such as joy, peace and serenity, which are fundamental for collective healing and the unity of humanity. He has a PhD in Biotechnology and is a teacher by profession.
He feels like a citizen of the world and his interest in music goes beyond the barrier of musical styles, so we can see him involved in choral and classical music, having founded the community choral group "Brisas da Alvorada", which is dedicated to the vocal exploration of Bahá'í texts. On the occasion of the celebration of the bicentenary of the Báb's birth in 2019, he wrote and performed the musical "Os Rompedores da Alvorada" throughout the country.

He has performed on various stages and abroad he was a guest at the TEDx programme at Lancaster University (UK) and in Canada. In 2015 he was voted singer-songwriter of the month on the Studio Pros website (US, LA). He is the author of the song "África Mãe" (Mother Africa), which is used to publicise the activities of the educational project "Pequena Semente" (Little Seed), an institution that supports needy children in Angola. He has published 6 CD albums and several EPs and his hobbies include photography and painting.
